Paper SRTE Frequently Asked Questions

For answers to questions not listed here, please e-mail us at srte@psu.edu

When are SRTEs processed?
SRTEs are due at the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence no later than three business weeks following the last day of classes for a given semester. Please check the SRTE Calendar for specific dates.

What is the minimum number of SRTE forms I can order?
The minimum order for any given course is ten forms. SRTE forms are good for three years from the date printed, so you should be able to use all ten forms within the next three years.

What is the minimum number of SRTE forms I can submit and still get a report?
Reports are generated only for courses with responses from five or more student. Reports are not produced for courses with less than 5 student responses because:

  • Small sample sizes diminish the confidence that the average score accurately represents all students
  • Students might be identifiable from their answers to the student demographic questions (Q1 and Q2)
